Local Child Care Related Resources
The Amador County Office of Education Extended Day Program is a child care program located at elementary schools in Amador County. Funding comes from parent fees and a subsidy program for low and middle-income families. After-school activities include homework help and enrichment projects. The summer program is all-day recreation-based, providing weekly field trips, swimming opportunities, and craft, nature, and reading projects.
Program Facilitates partnerships and fund strategies that strengthen families and support them in raising healthy children ages 0-5 years old.
The Resource Connection gives referrals to local licensed child care homes, preschools, and centers. Assists in the licensing process, and provides child care resources for parents and providers.
They also provide referrals to many community services such as children’s services, education, health, housing, legal assistance, and nutrition.
Amador County Office of Education offers State Preschool spaces at four Preschool sites.
